The perpetual liar,
she stands
on a monument she made for herself
out of untruths
and creativity
and the ability to pretend
that she's in great distress.
She lists everyone she knows
and realizes
none of them have been told the whole truth.
And so
the world sees a monument,
and she sees a pebble.
